Mexico's ruling class sure has been fucking up recently.

The Belgian bourgeoisie. They're doing some serious political mudslinging since the early 70's and were able to split the country into two opposing halves with the capital between them. After years of devide and rule politics no party is able to get more than 20% of the votes.

Wait, are we talking about the bourgeois being stupid in the sense of fucking shit up for the rest of us, or the bourgeois being stupid in terms of fucking themselves up?

If the latter, I find the Venezuelan bourgeoisie hilarious.

Since when have the bourgeois any national identity? All bourgeoisie exist to exploit workers. Nothing funny about that. However its funny when they fuck each other up!

 When they convince the poor of their respective countries to die for the interests of the wealthy?

I think Venezuela's ruling class is rather stupid. They have continuously underestimated Chŕvez's popular support.

Australia's.
Although, nto particularly stupid, just ridiculously greedy.
What they did to the ferries was funny, I suppose.
What the people who own my work are doing is hilarious. Possibly the stupidest name changes ever. Plus, jacking up costs from an already ridiculous level during a recession = stupid. One ticket there now (for the luxury cinemas when in 3d) will be $41.50!

None of the above can hold a candle to the sheer mindnumbing stupidity of the Russian bourgeoisie of 1917. It was hard to beat the Tsarist government for stunning incompetence... but the Provisional Government somehow managed it. As a general rule, if the bourgeoisie are still in control then they have not fecked up to the degree of Kerensky and co

A fair and objective description of a typicalEnglish bourgeois, courtesy of John Osborne.

"He's a patriot and an Englishman, and he doesn't like the idea that he may have been selling out his countrymen all these years. So what does he do? The only thing he can do - seek sanctuary in his own stupidity."

The first bourgeois government in France, led by the Girondins, could be a good candidate: "Hey, we just got in power and our economy is in crisis...let's declare war on the rest of Europe!". They then proceeded to chop each others' heads off for a couple years.

The Italian bourgeoisie is like the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Have they ever had a period of stability without resorting to fascism or imperialist involvement?

Also, considering the strong position of the US bourgeoisie just 15 years ago, it's been a comedy/tragedy of errors since then by the American ruling class. We'll see how that plays out in the long run.

What an excellent quote.

Yea I loves look back. My Drama lecturer claimed that it was a misogynist play, and I had to be taken into hospital to re-homogenise the blood. Not least because there's fuck all about sexual politics in there.

I don't know if classifying capitalists by nationalities is the right thing to do, especially these days when their claws are dug into foreign soil, but if I could intervene and make mention of something exactly opposite of this thread's purpose, I think it's worth looking at how remarkablly resilient American capitalists have been - in consideration of our founders (now worshiped as demi-gods) warning about the rise of capital. Jefferson's "agrarian" economy was a band of consumers working together and receiving the full benefit of their labor - not all that different than what Proudhon wanted to see in Europe, but now the "free market liberals" have spun a fantastic lie about him (and more radical opponents of capital like Thomas Paine) being pro-class inequality.

I don't know about Thomas Paine being anti-class, all I know is that he advocated a series of reforms such as graduated income tax and minimum wage

How has no one mentioned the USA during the cold war?! they brought down countless revolutions in Latin America an Southeast Asia! they installed military dictatorships in several nations, and all the while screamed their idiot heads off about Communism. If it wasn't so horrible it would be hilarious

Angry Young Man

But it was horrible. I don't really think there's anything hilarious about the Contras, or the Vietnam war, the instalment of Pinochet, etc., ect. Tell me, where is the humour in that?

BTW, I will not include Bill Hicks' reason to not vote Bush.
