We communists have many pictures of mainly soldiers fighting with a red flag. But maybe that is our problem when you see the military you think of the government. When blue collar workers see these pictures of soldiers raising up a socialist flag they think of the government taking all of their hard work away and taking control of their lives but maybe if our pictures were of mainly workers maybe they could make a correlation between the worker in the picture and themselves and think of themselves pushing back oppression instead of the government oppressing them. Oh and this does not apply to pictures with stalin because those pictures do represent oppression.

The majority of communist propaganda has been of workers.

These may be disputed as to how "truly communist" the governments creating them were, but regardless ComradeMarx may have a point:

THe problem is also from capitalist mentality. When you see someone fighting for a cause, an ideal etc, you probably think that he is a hopeless romantic, or his will to fight and act is taken advantage of by a bunch of bureaucrats, buisinessmen, a few people who will make a profit out of it.
Which is why such nihilistic attitudes ought to be challenged with a simple logical evaluation of the cause, practice and long term goal of that fight.
But eventually, nothing is worse than apathy, right?
