...or is that just me? I was having a look at my past posts (since I've only posted 23 times)

I'll get started. I once asked, who was better: Che Guevara or Uncle Joe?

I may have been 16 or something at the time but jeez I can't believe I actually thought Stalin was brilliant besides you can't really compare them. I really didn't have a clue and still don't.

Anyone else? Or do you laugh at other people's posts?

I have too many posts. I also try and edit old posts if they are particularly bad. Makes me wish I was a mod sometimes (you can't edit posts in closed threads).

I get insanely embarassed reading old posts of mine on any forum, even old convos on msn. I don't know why.

If it isn't deliberately to disrupt the flow of a thread or make others look stupid, PM me a list and I'll do it for you. I've asked lots of other websites to delete some of my embarassing or information leaking posts in the past and they've never had a problem. Few people ever read the old posts but if you google someone they can crop up and crap you thought when you were in your teens might still be visible to someone out to get you.

All my old posts that I read seem factually and analytically correct, albeit not worded as I might like... but that is true with most of my posts since this is a message board and not a publication, I don't thoroughly edit my posts before I submit them.

I'm embarrassed of just about all my posts... I still struggle to express myself properly :D

I think I've already asked Black Dagger to get rid of most of the personally identifiable stuff.

But I'll keep your offer in mind :).

Glad to see another person that proudly wears a tinfoil hat. They seem to have gone out of fashion online with the advent of "web 2.0"

I don't look back.

Although I may have done so before but I have little regrets to the stuff I posted here.

I've said some cringe-inducing things in the past, but the idea of going back and editing them strikes me as the actions of a two-faced, superficial twat who cares more about image and reputation than personal integrity, let alone anything else. Remember that you're a human fucking being, just like the rest of us. Why don't you have the stones to admit that you can fuck up along with everyone else?

Well thats true Noxypoo, but lots of people don't like the progression of their political stances in full view of the entire world.

Why not? People change as do their political stances, that's nothing to be ashamed of. If someone previously held a political stance that they now find embarassing, that's something to be proud of, since it shows they can be swayed by evidence and reasoned argument - after all, why would one be embarassed about a view that is not contradicted in such a manner?

In full view of the entire world? It's an anonymous message board.

I like logging on the morning after consuming lots of drugs to see if I made any posts. The results are usually pretty funny, or surprising... I'm oddly coherent when on stuff.

I'm fairly sure that if there were a timemachine I could use to argue with the person who made some of my old posts I'd tell him to fuck off.

I think that every person (even the coolest people I know), on almost every subject, on every forum, would be kinda ashamed reading their past posts (the older the post, the bigger the shame).

It's not just you. :)

What in the world? There's nothing embarrassing about being that. ;)

Stalinism is way worse. :D

And yes although I joined not long ago, some posts do definitely make me cringe, some of the slightly acidic ones.

I'm gonna search out every hundredth post. And I spend way too long in the intros forum before I realised that you're only meant to put an introductory thread in.

It's not a common thing for me, but I did once find I had made a birthday thread for InsertNameHere that I have no memory of making.

I never go back and look at my old posts. That's probably a good thing, too.

I don't think I've ever drunk-posted on this board either, at least not that I can remember. I have posted high, though, and usually my thoughts are suprisingly lucid.

You know I'm pretty sure we are the same person.

Anyway, I'm not embarrassed at all by my old posts. I'm actually particularly happy with a lot of them. Particularly the one I made about Mao being the farthest thing from a revolutionary. The troll factor alone made it great but the fact that I was serious made it even better.

Yeah, what's wrong this? I'm not under a contractual obligation to post 100's of times, am I? I don't come on here everyday. I come on every so often and browse and sometimes make the odd post- no harm done.

I was actually 17 when I started posting here, not 16.

I cringe at my old posts, especially since I knew almost nothing about revolutionary politics when I first joined this site.
