This is especially directed at Lardlad95 since I have heard him mention them several times.

What album do you suggest I should get to start me off?

Aight andres, if u want their best album, get Things Fall Apart, to me its a classic. And if it doesnt get u into them, then none of their previous albums will. Do You Want More is also very good, Iladelph was okay, and I haven't listened to their first album (Organix). So if there is anything else u wanna know, just ask. And Aaron can help too.

I suggest seeing them live but I've been told they are some of the best live performers.

AbstractMentality has seen them live so ask him.

THe Roots COme Alive is a live album its pretty good, but it would be better to here the studio songs before hearing the live versions

i think all of thier albums are classics... from organix, do you want more?, illadelph, things fall apart are all great.... each has a progression from jazzy instrumental tracks to solid intelligent lyrical driven songs....

if you like the emcees on the cd's, i suggest go look for some blackthought, where he works independantly with such artists as mos def and common.... dice raw is nice also, but doesn't concentrate on society's issues as much....

yeah its more of a jazz hip hop and or funk hip hop as opposed to revolutionary or concious hip ho

Well i agree about looking for his independent stuff. But Black Thought ain't much on the societal issues either. He's mostly a battler, for the societal issues Mos Def and Kweli are the best out there

I have so far dowloaded half of "Things Fall Apart".
These are some of the greatest rhymes I have heard.
I am loving the beat.
(I have always liked hip hop but this definitely is some of the best I have heard. How can Mazdak say hip hop is garbage?)

Exactly! It has a groove to it... rhythm that gets your head noddin... not head banging. Its both smooth enough to relax and hard enough to get you hyped.. the perfect blend (cuz we know how to rock with the beat come in).

becuase mazdak is a closed minded stalinsts who would kill his own mother for power.

He has no soul......and I don't just mean reliously....his heart is as black as stalins.....only with less power
