What do you see in the music u like? I am a fan of almost every genre of music (including some country), but R&B/Soul/Hip-hop holds a special place for me. R&B/Soul, i love the grooves and the laid-back attitude and how it makes u sway and slowly nod your head and want to get with your woman. Hip-hop, i love the beats and how the lyricist interacts with it, like where they'll place their rhymes. I also like to play it right before a game cuz it gets me up for it. All music has its qualities, which ones attract ya?

well i really like the guitars sounds and the lyrics so im mostly into rock and punk rock. a little bit of hiphop too. i dont like country, too boring for me. and im also interested in how the vocals person sings

I used to love RnB, but unfortunately it died with John Lee Hooker. Now all that's left is black pop that calls itself Rhythm and Blues.

Any song where I can emphasise with what is being sang usually grabs my attention. If not that, then I love great melodies - no matter what genre of music it is.

Very true, very true. Well, at least most of it is very poppish. But I love Jill Scott, D'Angelo (when is he gonna put out another one besides his joint with Saadiq), Erykah Badu before she got crazy. But there is still some hope left.... but definetly not that Ashanti crap.

I also like Jill Scott and Erykah Badu (found out about her the 'Blues Borthers 2000' movie). Unfortunately though, they are two rare gems.

PS - When did Erykah go crazy? I don't have much of her work.

I was just talking about what happened a year ago when Ms. Badu was at Central Park performing. She got all misty eyed and started taking off her clothes for no apparent reason. But its mostly just something me and my sister talk about sometimes. I heard she was coming out with a new LP (and after Mama's Gun not sure if she could do something better). U have any info on it?

Just took a quick look on the MTV website there, and it says that the album's out on August 27 - tomorrow.

Yup. I don't ever buy EP's cuz its a waste of money. Unlessu need the instrumental. EP means extended play, don't know how that mean single. Screwy aint it
