Obviously we cannot contribute by overthrowing anything or meddling too much.

But what kind of everyday things can we do to get Africa on the right track again?

Buy African obviously, but which brands? And where? And what else? Thank you.

the only real and lasting difference that we can make to africa, or anywhere else for that matter, is to encourage indigenous revolutionary movements. the africans will change africa for themselves. anything else that we do from the outside is cosmetic and usually has the result of distorting indigenous development.

Not just that but a large part of the problems in Africa stems from Western Imperialism, a revolutionary change in Africa will only see embargos and censorship imposed on them by our governments, if not a war in itself, unless a revolution in Western nations occurs, in which case, Africa can be released from all debts, can have aid sent to them to help them progress and transform etc...

i agree, you're better off concentrating on revolution at home where you are more familiar with the conditions. better to buy local than buy african. that doesn't stop you having solidarity with revolutionary bodies elsewhere though. and home is whereever the heart is, so SOI if you feel more at home in africa, go there and advance the revolution there. then you could buy local and buy african at the same time!!

I agree with stated.
Can I add a small digression on the subject.
I was offered a job in Africa, as a teacher on University.
Would taking such be a good choice, considering that I am currently employed in Europe, or not?
Made me think when you guys mentioned that most problems in Africa come from west
