As socialists, I'd love to hear and thus learn from you how do you perceive this speech given by Bill Clinton in 1999 regarding instabilities in Europe:

Regarding the geopolitical arguments, I must agree with what he says. But can Europe really remain war free from now own? I'd sure love to live in such a Europe, but having endured a bitter war on my own skin, I do have my doubts.
BTW, as you all probabbly know, NATO has since expanded further into Europe, Croatia and Albania joined just days ago.
Clinton said some 10 years ago that military presence must remain in the Balkans indefinitely. Although this does sound harsh, but visiting Bosnia just weeks ago I must admit that if all international surveillance and stability forces were to leave today, we'd probabbly see a slaughter en masse tomorrow :(
Europe, being a human grinding machine with millions perished for so long, can such policies ensure its stabilities? Or are we still looking for an "accident" waiting to happen?
