Will domestic challenges hamper South Africa's ability to lead change across the continent?

Africa does'nt have any leader. The continent is too large and diverse to have one centre. South Africa has a dominant economic influence to Africa south of the Democratic Republic of Kongo. But even for Zimbabwe and Botswana, it matters more what Britain does than what South Africa does.

Most African countries are specialised in exporting one kind of good, and thus dependent on the old motherlands. What could be called neo-imperialism.

Lead what kind of a change?

Presumably a "liberalisation" of Africa.

I do not envy Zuma.
