Hello everybody!
My name is probably guessable, so I'll skip this part.:)
I am a 16 to 17 year old guy from EU's backwater country called Romania, more precisely, from Iasi.
A short description of the area : the edge of civilization.
As for myself, a small biography of my political evolution since I was 10, up to the current day (my apologies if I sound boring, vague or talk nonsense in some places) :

When I was younger, you would've probably wanted to split my head with an axe. I was a racist, fascist scum as I considered that masses are brainless individuals that would commit "species suicide" without the guidance of a state made out of intellectuals. I also blamed the gypsies on most of the country's problems.
But during time, I realized that its pure stupidity to kill an entire ethnic group just because of some low-life individuals, regardless of number.
I also slowly realized that masses aren't inherently brain-dead, but rather they are being kept in a mediocre state of education as they are easier to manipulate and control this way, let alone the fact that in this state, its easier to "milk" them of money with minimum of cost and maximum of profit.
Reaching this state of thought, I knew that the education (not brainwash) of masses is of most importance.
I also liked the idea of workers joining together and working in common, owning the means of production and deciding for themselves what's best for them.
I was also preoccupied on how would a system based on the principle of "the more you work, the more you gain" would work, so as to give equal chances to everyone, regardless of type of job.
By this time, I considered the state as merely the mobile in reaching a "stateless, classless society".
...And now I understood that socialism, although not the embodiment of perfection, is probably the best alternative to capitalism that we have in our current times, and I am willing to do whatever I can to serve myself by serving this great cause!

Well, this was a short biography of my "political evolution". From now on, my actions shall be my judge.
To all other newcomers, a warm welcome!

PS. If you would like to ask me more about myself, feel free to do so.

Hehe... Guess I saved myself. Anyway, thanks to everyone for your warm welcomes!
I think you're our first member from Romania. Its really a sad thing, honestly, as people in my country seem to not give a shit about socialism or anything politics related.

Welcome to the boards.

I spent a couple of nights in Iasi about five years ago, when I was coming back from visiting Botosan. Nice place.

Thanks. It gets boring though after some time as there are simply not many attractions/things to do in the city, at least in my opinion.
