Anyone sick of bouncers?

I don't know if there is something specific about me, but I always get stoped at the door and asked how many drinks I have had regardless of how sober I look, and other pissed people will be acting like idiots in line will get in with no hassle.

One time I was stoped at the door and asked the usual question, then told it looks like I was on something and the boss told him to crack down on drugs and intoxication and I was denied. I was told to come back in an hour. I came back in 20 and was let in because I could remember excactly what the door man said to me.

Then last night again I was the only one from a group of girls and boys who was asked how many beers I had had, at the time I had had 3 beers. Then when I was in the club I was asked to move from the stairs, I couldn't hear the guy so he had to repeat it 2 more times, then I heard and shuffled along the rail. Then he grab me and pushed me down some stairs ( I didn't fall or roll down them) and followed me outside.

Seriously what the fuck could be going on?

I have though that I may look out of place, it would be understandable if I was at a seclusive club with incredibly attractive people, but these clubs are just the average clubs. The first club is considered alternative, so people will wear hoodies with band names and stuff like that. And I am also dressed appropriately.

Maybe I look like a drug dealer/taker or a trouble maker in general. But really I haven't caused any trouble since 18-19 years old as I can control myself better with alcohol. But I have found now that bouncers are coming more aggressive towards me.

Does anyone else get targeted more then usual by bouncers?

How tall/big are you? Maybe they feel intimidated or something...

Average. I am pretty trim, based on a girls perspective some would saw scrawny to trim. I am building up, but I am not bigger then most bouncers.

But this bouncer who through me out put the whole face on and was ready to psyche himself up, like as if I was going to do something. I just put my hands up in the air so there was no confusion as to wether I was going to touch him, also so then if he attacked me I could say I had my hands in the air and he attacked without being provoked.

He actually followed me out and signaled to another bouncer that I was heading his way, the other bouncer actually couldn't understand even though I was the only one headed his way, I had to actually tell the bouncer that he is talking about me, I told him what happen and he seemed surprised that I had been evicted.

I've never had problems with bouncers, except when I once vomited on one - so that was kind of justified.

I'd be fucvked in that situation, my memory is terrible.

Maybe you should ask people you know if anything about you looks shifty and if you can counteract that at all.

They usually are tempremental. ONce they randomly (and I mean randomly) punched a mate of mine for a stupid reason. They don't give a fuck because they get away with it. Some of them are alright, especially if you're well behaved and get on with them, I've met 2 who I spent alot fo time chatting too because they were well alright, a bit on the nutty side though.

The oens you've experienced just sounds like idiotic bullies, to be honest.

I usually get along orite with bouncers, used to catch the bus home with one back in 'day when I used to work in a pub next to an indie/"trendy" club.

I've encountered some right dicks though, but mostly they're nice and polite.

I'm the one stealing Holden's pint while hes doing so.

I actually used to have lots of trouble with bouncers, generally because I used to wear a 3/4 leather coat a lot. Appearantly I look liked like a dealer. Security guards in shops keep abreast of me at the other end of the aisles I also noticed. Maybe I should make a Matrix Fanboy Lookin Discrimination thread like the punk one. Or should have just dressed like I was going to a nightclub,

I think we should have bad clothing as discrimination! Anything that isn't norm. Business clothes should be look down.

yeah, most bouncers are macho idiots who only make situations worse, thats why my mates started the company where i work.

on the OP, i have no idea why they single you out espacily.
it can be that they are just assholes or maybe you just look drunk fast.
cause over here i'm also not alowed to let clearly intoxicated people in (its in the law, the club can get a nasty fine and even be closed down if it gets caught serving to already drunk people, if the customer later commits a crime or causes an acident they can even be prosecuted as acomplishes).
and it realy sucks if you have to bounce someone who is just as drunk as the rest but is not so good at hiding it (makes you feel like the boogeyman) but for me its not that everbody should abide to the rules but that you should not be caught breaking them.
i have no problems with people drinking to much or taking drugs in the club where i work as long as you dont force me to act on it (so take your fucking dope on the toilet and not in my eye sight fucking idiots, and if your wasted stay friendly instead of picking fights or pucking all over the place)

at the clubs where i work the only group who gets singled out at the door are the skater/white hip hop kids, they always get extra searched for grafiti-markers

I don't like drinking in city centres because the bouncers are generally dickheads, and I can be a n00b for proving them right and getting into fights.

I stay within my locality where you get no hassle.

Never had problems with bouncers, not even when 16 year old, drunk, and going to clubs that are meant for 18 years and upwards.

And that is what pisses me off.

Maybe because I am older now I look like I could be up to serious trouble.

I am sick of bouncers. Usually when I see one I get a little faint. If I have to get close to one, I develop an aggressive diarea and fever. If I touch one I will be covered in blisters that produce a steady output of gelatenous puss.

Theres only one time a bouncer has really pissed me off.

One time, i was going to a nightclub to meet up with a mate and i got static at the door on the grounds he thought i was potentially underage and thanks to my own oversight i forgot to bring id. So i spent 4 quid on buses, once back to my place to grab my passport and to get back to the location of the nightclub. On my return, did they even bother to ask for id again? Did they arse! i walked straight into the place, without them batting an eyelid... ...4 quid out of pocket and an hour and a half less drinking time thanks to some jobsworth tit who decided to make an issue of my at the time skinny demeanour.

:cursing:

But yes, a lot of bouncers are bad, not just the one in my story. I propose that many of them are only a notch above coppers; they are after all employed to act as the muscle of capitalist establishment.

Kurt Cobain was sick of bouncers.

As for me, well, I understand their purpose. There are times I am very, very glad they throw someone's ass onto the pavement.
