It was not an heart attack. It was not a natural death. It was a result of being pushed and hit. Latest news from BBC:

The truth is out at last.

although it says they are not fully sure its pretty obvious what caused his death. it will be interesting to see how the police react to this and what they will do and more importantly how will the public react to this. i really hope this will spark off something big so his death wasnt in vain

Cue the inevitable police statement, 'internal investigation', and ultimately, no charges.

In the words of a famous president: “nothing will be gained by spending our time and energy laying blame for the past.”

...in other words, the people in power are above the law. Everyone else gets to go to jail.

I hope more people learn about this. Who knows, maybe something will happen.

Not so sure, in a recession our class is more likely to approach the left for answers. There's a point here to be made about the left not providing any.. but moving on.. our class in a recession looks to the left for answers, I don't tihnk that's a contentious observation. So that being true, the government will do everything it can to undermine us, we've seen already what the media did with the Ian Tomlinson story, especially 'the Sun' showing his mourning wife laying into the protesters.

I reckon it'd be difficult for the government to bury this one and they may even go hard on the officer responcible showing that Government can be the answer to peoples concerns. If they portray him as a bad apple in an otherwise commednable police force they can still manage to push through upcoming police powers and anti-terror legislation..

I can't see them doing anything else, if they do bury this then great, it'll be a hell of a fucking protest. But they can't afford to, in a time of economic uncertainty they need to pacify the working class..

investigation into possible manslaughter, bearing in mnd, the first interviews were done by city of london police before the ipcc were called in and the ipcc decided those interviews were credible, the fact that the left whilst offering leadership and having the answers is so fragmented, i think the ruling class will try and bury it, they are prepared to crush working class opposition with a brutal use of police force, they will have pland for dealing with "unfortunate" incidents and given the need to keep ordinary plod on their side, they won't hang one too much out to dry.

Boris Johnson: "No one can doubt that the Metropolitan Police faced a huge challenge in securing the G20 summit."

No one can doubt that the police are just murdering state-thugs whose job is to protect the ruling-class, its rotten system and their temples of capitalism. Our challenge is to never be intimidated by these thugs.

"The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said his first thoughts were with Mr Tomlinson's family." Disingenuous bastard.

This video also shows a group of protesters at a convergence space in Whitechapel being threatened with tasers by the pigs. The protesters have their hands in the air, you hear them saying "keep calm, keep calm", and the police shouting very loudly as well as threatening them with tasers. I think it's 24 seconds into the video where you can see a taser clearly.

Media aren't showing or reporting this, because they are focusing on Ian Tomlinson.

Typical bullshit being spouted from a media-educated tyrant.
The Last line is something which really pisses me off. That Motherfucker should be put against a wall. Disingenuous piece of shit indeed.

you think he could have shown some empathy at leats towards his family instaed of just saying it in a statement. i think its fucking sick how hes treating them.

as for the video is that in the bank that protestors stormed?
and what is the banging at the very end of it?
