The founders of the torrenting website, The Pirate Bay in Sweden recently was in a trial for piracy. Sweden did not adhere to many international laws making it easy for them to operate, do note that they were raided once by police and their servers seized. They were found guilty of their charges and will probably go back to court and fight again, and because the fine was in the millions they went to jail since they were not rich men.

For those who don't know about torrenting what happens is you find a torrent file (what TPB had) and then you put it into a client such as Vuze or uTorrent. Then people will upload you pieces of the file while you upload files to the other people. In all reality it is like blaming Google for showing you an illegal music website.

Here is an article I saw this morning on it, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8003799.stm . This is a sad day for all those who stand against corrupted copyright laws.
