hi all, im new here(as you cant tell haha)
to start off, im from northern california and i am currently a high school student.
for a while now i have been trying (fruitlessly) to do some good research on leftism and socialist/communist ideals. I chose to do so because i felt that i dont really have any trust in our system of government and the way corporations have such a huge influence on so many things. i also feel i was personally affected by this and also began to see that what i believe fits very well with things being on the left side of the ideological spectrum.
i became pretty open about it when i chose to do a presentation on Marx for my english class. i also did an essay on the fall of the soviet union and the soviet-afghan war a few years back. and im preparing to do a presentation on the DDR for my german class ^_^
before then i was browsing socialist websites and looking at the history of workers movements and socialism in the United States.
when i heard about revleft i browsed the learning section and found it to be a wonderful place to finally begin to study this in ernest to help me shape my views and find what i was looking for.
My leanings tend to be anti-authoritarian and socialistic.
Economic Left/Right: -8. 00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6. 41
i really hope to enjoy my stay here and learn as much as i can, how i can hone in my views, and also how to justify my views.
Thanks for reading! (i know its long) :thumbup1:
