Back on - Rage and Cris Cornell

I just heard that they agreed to get back together (rage minus zach plus cris cornel), and went to a different label. Anyone else hear/care about this. I'm not sure how the music will sound, i think zach's vocal's were very key to their music. i just can't begin to imagine cris cornell singing to any of their songs.

Chris Cornell was from Sound Garden? Or am I wrong. Is Chris Cornell into what Rage Against the Machine was into?
