Ok, here's the deal. I bought a guns n roses cd from a swap meat because I like guns n roses and the following conversation with my prepy stepbrother who watches mtv, occurs


zack(prep bro): oh my god! you like guns n roses?!

MITRS: yeah...... is that a problem?

zack: not only are they openly anti-semetic and hate gay people, but they suck!

MITRS: (thinks very carefuly for a moment and then gets very mad) HEY! fuck you! guns n roses is awesome!

zack: well what? they suck!

MITRS: wait what? they are rascist? homophobes? what?! where did you hear that?

zack: they made openly anti-semetic statements and said that they hate gays on mtv

MITRS: how can they hate gays?! they all look like flamers!!!!

zack: hey what can I tell you?

MITRS:(blankly tares into space)


now... is this true? this is MTV, the god of brainless tv channels. Could they be joking. I can't believe that they are rascist homophobes. If they are, I can never really listen to them and enjoy their music the same way ever again. What do you guys think?

GnR has always been accused of being racist, etc.

Axl is openly anti-gay. He said, "Yeah I guess I have a problem with gays. I guess my father trying to fuck me as a baby had something to do with it..."

The anti-gay is fair but not the racist. Sure Axl sang, "Police and niggers, thats right get out of my way...." but i don't think that makes GnR racist. Slash is half-black.

Anyway, I love GnR. Axl is an ass but Slash and Duff are the coolest.

Hey, the first rock music I listened to was GnR, and I loved the Use Your Illusion albums, but I always thought Axl came across as more of an alcoholic wife-beater than a racist homophobe :)
