I was reading this journal/magazine whatever at my friends house and it was called Emancipation and Liberation, all I know about it is that it seemed to be connected with the Scottish Socialist Party. I looked at the back and it listed the Workers Solidarity Movement as 'contact' or something similar. Anyway what I found was that inside what they were saying seemed very libertarian, self managing sort of arguments in it. I was wondering if anyone knows anything more about it and if it is indeed connected with the SSP, if so it seemed a little strange to be saying these things, or maybe this was just a one off with the Libertarian ideas.

Maybe they were just trying to appeal to libertarians, and try to make their message sound more attractive. The Party For Socialism and Liberation (inb4 Kassad rants at me) uses a name like that, and sounds libertarian in some of their articles. Other ones reveal their true nature, such as in an article about how Capitalism is destroying the enviroement. The end it with "tell your congressmen we need a socialist planned economy NOW!".
So odds are it's something like that.

Well, in most countries aside from the United States, the term 'libertarian' refers to an ideology advocating small government. Wouldn't a workers democracy be the smallest government possible, as it totally avoids bureaucratic notions and destroys the capitalist legislature that oppresses people without properly representing them?
