I'm an American so I dont know alot about British politics on the ground but how likely is it that the BNP will gain a member of parliament (in Westminster or regional) or European Parliament is this something that could happen?

It's likely that in the upcoming European Parlaiment elections they will gain a member. Thatw ill be the party leader Nick Griffin standing in the North West of England.

it's very unlikely they will in the near future gain an MP, but if they were the constituency of Barking and Dagenham would be their best likelihood.

Pretty much what he said, they could get an MP but it would be a one-off, they are not, as yet, a serious political threat to the main 3 Parties.

They do get good turn outs in local elections, and they will most likely get Nick into the E.P, both of which are worry signs of their advance, and although both are not massive political achievements it gives them prestige whichs helps them build yet more support.

I think the real thing to worry about is the publics perception of the big 3. Because quite frankly, I get the impression that alot of people seen them all as the same, more and more now, and are loosing faith in all of them (i dont blame them for that either). It is this factor (imo) that poses the largest threat to us and opportunity for the BNP to capitalise.

They'll probably get a Euro-MP, i personally dont reckon they'll really focus all that much on Westminster for quite some time
Solidifying their support on a local level in areas like the NW, Stoke, Barking etc on the local councils will probably come first and once they've strengthened the Nazi movement in the UK to move on to greater things
Another possibility could be what some of the other rightist groups such as the Springbok Club and ex-UKIP members are doing is to try and gain support on the right of the Tories
Like a fascist version of the Militant entryists in Labour in the 80s
Politics is a funny game though so who knows exactly what'll happen
I reckon if the Tories win the next general election (as is expected) swathess of the white working class will be scared back into the Labour Party fold

Give them 5 years. The fight is now, not when they've mustered much more support.

I agree with you mate (also, any mate of Harry's is a mate of mine ACAB!!!)
This will probibly get deleted by the tossers that moderate and control what we say (contridictions are rife on this forum) but why wait till they are a threat, majority of the people that are against bnp just want to sit and discuss it, and say 'yea yea, they are scum yea' FUCK THAT.... why are we doing nothing about it? And its not only bnp, they are the major threat right now, but you have british peoples party, racial volenteer force, combat18, and a hundreds of other nazi wanker groups... how can we call ourselves antifascists when we allowed this to happen?
Majority are a minor threat, but while these groups exist, they will been seen as acceptable...
Somthing needs to be done, and it needs to be done fast...
