what are the best things we as "revolutionaries" can do to further our cause? what are things we can do that help people in a way that is friendly towards the working class, but do not necessarily promote our cause? What do people here think about state sponsored programs such as the Peace Corps?

I always heard from older lefties that the peace corps are were liberals go to unwittingly build bridges for when the US military invades the country.
A friend I went to school with (who was a Maoist and the first radical I knew) ended up joining the peace corps and I told him he's be building bridges for a US military invasion as a joke. Well, he was sent to Georgia and I wrote to him when Russia and Georgia fought and asked him what was going on. He said he was fine and the US was sending him and all the other peace corps people to the capital for safety. Well, cut to me reading that email and turning on the TV where the news reporter was saying that Russia was surrounding the capital and the US ambassadors were scared for the safety of all the Americans there.
Thanks Uncle Sam for using my friend as a human shield/excuse to start WWIII in your imperialist game of chicken with Russia.
