Think we have a post-revolutionary anarchist civilisation...

Anarchism's premise lies on decentralisation within a federalist context. An anarchist civilisation is basically supposed to be a federation/confederacy of autonomous direct democratic communes.

One thing which could be interpreted as a problem is that some of these communes could theoretically strive to be mono-ethnic, or to just accept some belief systems and so on. While they still interact with the rest of the confederacy, they uphold hierarchical and traditionalist values internally.

How to deal with:

A) A muslim community wants to have religious schools and segregation between the genders?

B) A community composed of Serbs want to uphold Serbian nationalist values?

C) A community wants to ban recreational drugs?

How should the anarchist confederacy deal with them?

An anarchist federation is not a government. A "high council" can not pass down dictates. It is a group of freely associated communities which may even opt out of a federation. People living within each community also have the right to free association, meaning that they should be able to live in an area/community, even if they use their right to dissociate themselves from the rest of the community (given something undesirable, such as community decisions to ban certain substances). There is also free movement (no borders, no states), so no one would be forced to remain in an undesirable community when a freer one or more desirable one is right around the corner.

I think the rest of the communes may decide not to trade with the fundi / nationlist commune.

Would really an anarchist economy work through barter/trade?

Well with the Muslim commune I don't see a problem, seeing as Muslims have no problem with segregation (unless it's extreme fundamentalism, but I somehow doubt seeing this in a communist world) and it's a part of their religion and that's the way they like it.

As for Serbs, I imagine when a communist world is achieved (200+ years) there won't be a nationality, really, and if there is it will be extremely mild at best (with borders and governments and countries dissapearing). So there wouldn't be any real ideals to hold up, this is just my guess though.

I don't see why other communes should care if one commune voted and agreed on banning recreational drugs.
