Wow, there are definitely some amazing bands mentioned! Yeah a Top Ten is kinda hard when it comes to the 'best of all time.'

Everyone pretty much said my next favs after the 10: REM, Manic Street Preachers, Bob Marley, Nirvana, NIN, Tool, and Bob Dylan. I must say that I not sure whether or not I have ever heard At The Drive-In, the name sure sounds familiar, but I'll be downloading their stuff now since two people mentioned them.

This was from a Led Zeppelin forum I used to be a member of, lol:

"IN THE BEGINNING God created the guitar. And the Spirit of God blessed the guitar and called it good. Later, after a run of imposters, God sent his only begotten Son, Jimmy Page, so that all His children might learn. And verily the spirit of God's Son rocked the cosmos, and spread the Truth Of The Guitar to all."

And so on and so forth with all these strange, yet fricking hilarious, scenes with Page as Christ. I'll have to find those again lol. Jeez, I like Led too much...lol....

Download anything off their Relationship of Command LP. The second best punk album ever recorded (behind Refused's The Shape of Punk to Come of course), but I would specially recommend Invalid Litter Dept, Arcarsenal or Cosmonaut. Pure fuckin genius, pity the bastards split a year or so back...

All of the people left here are ones that i think are pretty kick ass. i was supposed to see lauryn hill live on the 19th (two days ago), but i guess she dropped off the ticket last minute. still got to see J5, the Roots, and Outkast, so that was cool though. Ozomatli is tight too. Killingstars introduced them to me. my grandma gets down to them as well. and the rest, how could you not love them (fugees are great, maxwell has a voice like no other and some nice lyrics [although im not sure if he writes them], D'angelo is just on another level with originality, mos def has been great for years [and talib kweli], common has a unique style and he can freestyle pretty good, and bob marley, well, its bob marley, 'nough said.)
the people i deleted from your quote i havent heard, or are good artists (ie miles davis), but havent heard enough of their stuff to comment.

Hey, she's not the onlyone who has simon&garfunkel "AND" SOAD. I have, too. :)

It depends on your state of mind. It's boring just to listen one kind of music all the time.
Sometimes, when you feel like crashing things down you listen to hard music (define it yourself what is "hard")
But you don't feel like making noise always. That's when you listen to the non-noisy music, Garfunkel is just perfect as this! :)

you have insulted me. :( I sit around listening to my 100 different nirvana cds. that's about as much variety as there is for me. I don't get bored of listening to my music over and over again. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with liking more than one type of music, only they are normally alike. Take me or my bro for example. When I am tired of Nivana, I listen to Pearl Jam. When my brother is tired of listening to Black sabbath, he listens to ozzy. I just find it unusual to see someone who listens to 2 completely different kinds of music. It's not bad, just unusual. I have never met anyone like that. that's all I meant.

S&G (sorry I'm lazy) is a thing form when I was much younger. Also my last name is robinson (I know you're not supposed to give out info like that but it's a common name) so when I meet alot of people for the first time they sing "mrs robinson". It's worse for my mum, when we were in France we filled up with petrol and my mum payed by credit card and the guy started singing it!! It also came out the year my parents got amrried and some american with a guitar sang it for them on their honeymoon.

Enough random ramblings, hope that was half way intersting.

I like a good mix of music, on my current playlist is Korn, Starsailor, Haven, NoDoubt (only old stuff of course), Marilyn Manson, SOAD, radiohead, RATM, AFI and the cure.

I tend ot liten to alot of music which I don't think is "good" but I do like, if you understand me. I tried to explain to my brother but he didn't understand!
