"We are deeply saddened to report the death of John Alec Entwistle, and our deepest sympathies go out to his friends and family, and all of his fans. "The Ox" was found dead of an apparent heart attack on June 27th in Las Vegas where The Who were preparing to begin their tour the next day.
We appreciate all of the people who have written us, and wish we had the time to write everyone back. We have been receiving mail from all over the world, and the feeling of community that we are feeling has been amazing! We are all feeling the same pain and it is heart lifting to read your sentiments.
My personal attitude is to celebrate his life and music and think about the good things. So I recommend that everyone put on their favorite Album, crank up the volume - and remember, that John will live forever thru his music and thru the joy he has brought us all these years. "
