Gaming is part of the world, and people interact in it, especially online games and MMORPGs.

On games like Counter Strike Source and World of Warcraft, EVE, etc etc you often meet racism, even extreme fascism online.
Now theres some fun stuff you can do.
On open PvP based MMORPGs, there is the obvious thing of griefing people, i.e. killing their character and ruining their game time.
This also works on CSS, which I know a few of us play.
For example today I was playing CSS on my usual server and this guys comes on with the tag GOD LOVES KKK. So I move sides onto his team, and spend the next 10 minutes teamkilling him, putting up my in game spray as I go. My in game spray is the antifascist action logo from Germany used by Antifa worldwide, so its clear what I'm doing.
It was quite funny to hear the guy screaming into voice chat about how annoyed he was, and in the end he left the server for good!
I know its just gaming, but if you see racism (and I have ALOT, there is a shitload of it, on voicechat, typed chat, sprays and tags etc) and theres a way to deal with it, its good and can be fun. As I said I had great fun griefing this guy until he didn't want to play anymore.

This is sort of the opposite situation: When I used to play Counter-strike, my spray was the H&S, and I'd get guys constantly TK'ing me so I'd leave the server for being a "goddamned Communist. Why are you playing games on capitalist computer?"

I once found a flash game that involved killing bowling Nazis. Apperently Nazis have picked up the sport of bowling now?

I've been messing with fascists on the PS3 Network by blasting soviet anthems into my headset whenever I play against them in COD5. The great thing about fascists on these gaming networks is that most of them are too stupid to mute me or turn off their headset! Also, JPOP works well to scramble their brains, as does anything involving a long speech in a foreign language. I put on a speech given by Molotov after the Nazi attack and some fash punk said "Oh no! Mexicans!" Good times, good times.

I once met a guy called 'White Pride' on Call of Duty 4 on the map Wetworks.
For those of you who play COD4, you will know that Wetworks is set on a huge cargo ship, having 2 large structures opposite each other with cargo containers in between.
Well, it turned out that this wanker enjoyed sniping, though sadly I was on a server without friendly fire.
So I left for a moment, made a kit with smoke grenades and C4 as well as a heavy machine gun (M60).
So as this guy is trying to concentrate on sniping, I tossed a smoke grenade in front of him, not only blocking his sight, but highlighting his position to the enemy.
When I ran out of smoke grenades (there's only one), I would blow up C4 as he was taking shots, to put him off. I then opened fire on him with the M60 and irritated him so much he wrote down in chat:
"Bull3tp0int (my name) stop that crap you fucking pig" and after many more rude tirades and several team changes, he left.

I love it when I get called a bourgeois lifestylist, and then this shit gets posted. rofl.
I think arm-chair revolutionary is a pretty appropriate comment here, for multiple reasons.

To be fair, it's light-hearted and not considered revolutionary in any sense.

The organisations in gaming you need to be worried about are the
"Axis Realism Units"
Often portraying SS divisions, i know for certain they have some fascist nutcases among them.
A game where i know this is ripe is a little known game called 'Red Orchestra'
forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=49
Although most of the time they are dissolutioned teenagers, they do have thier nutcases whom take the game waaaaaay to seriously (Eastern front WW2 is the games portrayal).

I know... Airsoft has its share of those nutcases who take games way too politically.
But I know for certain that re-enactment is a hobby that is plagued by pro-war fascists and conservatists claiming to be apolitical. Then refusing to role-play any "bad guys" (does not include nazis)

Yes, because its completely impossible to play video games and be involved in any political activity in the real world as well?
Maybe you'd like to elaborate your views further on why finding racism in online gaming irritating and something to get rid of is in any way bourgeois or 'lifestylist'? Or you could just go back to being a 'motherfuckin RAANista in a crew' or whatever the fuck else it is you do with your time.

ye with names like "[SS] NIGGA_KILLA" (I saw that one yesterday) i just throw smoke/stun/flash/frag grenades at them and screw up their game in general i might die 20 times but its so worth it to hear him scream at me down his headset :D

You really need to calm down.

Not really. I just find it annoying when a 'RAANista' accuses other people of being an armchair or lifestylelist because they don't like racism in video games, especially when I know what political work I get involved in (and yes, its a bit more than cheering on fellow 'crew* members when they smash a RCP bookstore window!).
*Don't you find that childish name embarassing?

And I find it annoying when a liberal thinks they're an anarchist. OH WELL.

And I find it annoying when a liberal thinks they're an anarchist. OH WELL.
So you're annoyed with yourself? Lets have it straight, everyone knows your not really politically left wing beyond a bit of cheerleading for what other people have done and a bit of posturing on a forum. Oncemore, I think my record of involvement in anarchist organisations and campaigns would discount the desperate crys of a internet geek who says I'm a liberal despite not even knowing me. Am I that sort of liberal who is involved in supporting factory occupations, protesting against the state and capitalism, etc?
Back to facts, you do fuck all except post on here and takling about a motherfuckin' insurrection! Furthermore, you're so fucking politically confused, you claim to be post-left and 'not a communist' despite being in an organisation that claims to be anarchist communist (although we know in reality its basically a support group for hardcore kiddies).
OH WELL.

Bring It!, H-L-V-S, can we not fight about this right now? Where's the love? This is a thread about antifascism in gaming, which I don't think is exactly at the height of revolutionary activity, but is a fun and politically satisfying past time between demos and other activism. Let's all get along :)

Theres at least two other members of this forum who I'm active with. Are any of your 'crew' on here?
I think you need to get real and start being honest about your origins, the 'solid working class boy active in the community' thing isn't fooling anyone.

This is chit chat, fascist.
Anyway, fighting fascism or racism in video games is pointless and won't go anywhere. People like to assholes online because they don't face any real repercussions. But if you're talking shit and griefing them for the lulz, then you will have hours of fun.
