Pantera, an awesome band - why do u think they're rascist?

why do some of you think that the awesome speed metal band, Pantera, is a rascist band? having a confederate flag doesn't make you a rascist, they probably just want to be different. You can be a confederate and not be a nazi. Ever see the outlaw, Jose Whales? Clint wasn't a nazi in that movie and I'm sure he wasn't the only one. The vice versa goes for the Union army. There were many rascist among the Union army. Come on, that's like calling Rammstein rascist because they are German.

Rammstein doesn't go waving swastikas at their concerts. Well, I've never heard that band, and they're not relly leftists, so unless their music has something special, I don't care.

this is not true. I saw a whole special on them on vh1 about how they explain that they are NOT rascists and how they pull rascist shit like that to get attention. They are not rascist. And no, they are not leftist, but I don't care. If I only listened to leftist rock, I'd be listening to like 2 bands. There is such thing as good music that is not necesarily leftist you know. :)

As a Texas resident, I must say that Pantera and all of their annoying redneck fans really piss me off sometimes. At the last Tool concert I went to, half the crowd was wearing Pantera t-shirts for some reason. The two bands do not mix at all. And the fans don't either. The true Tool fans, the ones who appreciate the intelligence of Tool's music, had to put up with hoardes of rednecks who just like some stuff on "Undertow" and came to mosh. And shit, there was way too much moshing going on. Pantera's music is boring, shallow, and unimaginative, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, by the way, while I was waiting to get into the show there were two kids wearing Pantera shirts talking about how much they wanted to "kill all the sand-niggers" waiting right in front of me.

I like Panteras music but I have to agree that most of their fans are fucking dipshits. I once went to a Pantera BB called "***** of the Day" and it was full of racist bastards ratting out about "nigger" this and "nigger" that, so fucking stupid to be like that and be a Pantera fan knowing that they toured with SEPULTURA who is not only a leftist band but has a BLACK vocalist. Some of Panteras lyrics actually do have leftist tendencies (listen to "The Badge" and there is also another one that is about Fascism, I think it was "Fucking Hostile" but I dont remember very well) but I still don't go to their concerts because its full of rednecks and I don't want anything to do with them.

I'm not gonna disagree with you guys that their fans are redneck hicks, but I still like their music. It may be unimaginitive but it is not boring. If it were both, I would not listen to them. I think they are an awesome band, regardless of how dull-minded they may be.


and yes, tool is much better than Pantera. But pantera is still good.

Pantera are allies of Sepultura...both mix well...
But yeah...I've also seen the "redneck racist" fans at Pantera concerts too. I think speed metal attracts such a large following of people.
