This has just come out and is acclaimed oral historian Max Arthur's latest effort. I saw it in Waterstone's today and picked up a copy immediately.
This book features the last eight surviving British veterans of the Spanish Civil War giving their personal accounts of their service in the Spanish Civil War, in particular with the famous International Brigades.
Sadly, one of those veterans whose account is in the book, Irish Brigader (and former IRA member) Bob Doyle (who fought in the British Battalion of the XVth International Brigade, oddly enough, IIRC) has since passed away.
This book, IMHO, comes highly recommended.
