The shift from Trotskyism to Maoism is quite a big one I think, what were your motives?
Also, is there no group or party active in your area? Seeing how ideas work in practice is much better then just thinking about them ;)

The shift from Trotskyism to Maoism is quite a big one I think, what were your motives?
I have always admired Maoist principles for some reason or another, and was only a lukewarm believer in most Trot ideas (I was in it mostly to hate Stalin). I also had a Hoxhaist friend who converted me.


Also, is there no group or party active in your area?
Nothing really, I'm in the exurbs and it takes me awhile to get to anywhere where there is a large group of like-minded individuals. As a Trotskyist, I independently campaigned for Roger Calero, however.
