(This is a semi-serious thread, so sensible replies only please)
How many of the males here who identify as heterosexual have had a homosexual experience at some point in their lives, particularly during adolescence? I know I did, and I've read that it's rather common, but it's not the kind of thing I'd ask any of my friends IRL about.

By homosexual experience, do we mean physically experiencing it in the form of sexual acts, or even something as small as watching homoerotic porn or fantasising about it?

For me it was the former - semi-sexual, anyway. I guess either would be interesting (interesting, because it demonstrates that sexuality is flexible and all that jazz) and people can specify what having a "homosexual experience" involved for them if they like.

I once had an apparently homosexual guy wink at me...repetatively...for fifteen minutes.
Thats about it. Cant think of any other contact with homosexuals I have ever had.

It would be interesting, as you said it'll show that sexuality can be flexible, and I wouldn't rule out the possibility of sexuality being able to change more than once during someone's lifetime.
I wasn't attracted to homosexual or bisexual porn, or males, when I was younger, until around 13/14 years old.

Nope, my best friend from early high school was gay and when he got drunk he would sometimes hit on me, but not in a particularly serious way. My friends are very comfortable around each other also. People get drunk, Steve takes off his pants and gets in everybody's faces, Matt plays beer pong and drops his pants every now and then, RJ slaps peoples asses (everyone's). It is not sexual at all, it is just fucking around.
unfortunately my old friend found "god" now (gave into the pressure his mormon family put on him to be utterly dull), and is a bit of an ass sometimes now.

I find guys attractive now and then, and when I was maybe 13 I went through a period where I was very paranoid about being gay, until I realized the paranoia was because I didn't actually want to have sexual relationships with men because I was attracted to women. But still, now and then.

I did have homosexual sex acts when I was a kid to explore the sexuality. It is embarrassing but I cannot change the past.

That shouldn't be embarrassing, and can you clarify what you do find embarrassing?

Oh dear. Here comes the "you found it embarrasing, so you're an evil homophobe" tirade.

Get fucking real mate, I asked a question, to see if he'll clarify what he meant before I went any further, but seeing as you raised the possibility that he did think of having sexual relations with men "embarrassing" go on and tell me how that isn't homophobic.
Am I to be embarrassed cos I shag males, because you know, afterall, it is a ridiculous phenomena that one should be embarrassed about.
Oh and admit it Holden, you loved it. ;)

I kissed a man and it wasn't bad, but don't really have a desire for sex or a sexual relationship with a man. I think everyone is probably inherently bi-sexual but conditioned by society to conform only to heterosexuality. And once you settle on a certain sexual preference it is hard to change that except under certain circumstances (like being terrorized by parents or intolerant social conditions to seek only heterosexual relationships or being in prison or a boarding school and having homosexual experiences).
It's like what Marx talked about: it may be perfectly healthy to eat bugs or dogs, but people in Europe have been conditioned to believe that this is "dirty" and so would never do so unless starving (or drunk [pissed] and egged on by friends [mates] - which I guess goes for straights having gay experiences as well).

I'm genuinly interested as to how people found themselves in the situation in which it happened. I've never been in that kind of area. I hang out with blokes, i like them and i get slaughtered with them. Where, for those of you that have had homosexual experiances, did it occur?
If that's too private a question, then i apologise.

When I was in primary school, I had a really good male friend and I valued him a lot as a friend. One day I kissed his arm for no reason at all.
Then in early-mid high school, I became this racist, homophobic bigot. Why does that happen in high school?
Now, I'm a Communist that denounces homophobia and all that stuff. I'm heterosexual by the way.
Funny how things are.

Would you be embarrassed if you had sex with someone you later realized you had no attraction to? Whether they are gay or not isn't the issue, it is that you were wrong about your emotions.

I have never had it happen.
I could fix that for you ;)
On the flipside, I keep wondering if I have heterosexual any tendencies. Most friends a some time or another have been convinced that I'm bisexual.

I take your point, I thought about that not too long ago and simply came to the conclusion that I don't think I'd be embarrassed much, simply shrug it off and remember that that was at a different stage in my life so has no real effect on me now.
I guess if people are embarrassed about realising they were attracted to someone who they no longer are attracted to, as opposed to being embarrassed by having former sexual relations with people of the same gender, then I wouldn't say that was homophobic in the slightest, just a bit prudish :p

Never had anything like this in my life. I have thought about it, and on occasion I look at a man and think yes he's attractive, but it's more a kind of in my mind not in my pants way.
But I do like anal stimulation.. :thumbup1:

Oh, and an interesting video on girls kissing, and why pop singers shouldn't do it to just make a buck.
