When other nations do it, it's a violation of international law and deserving of sanctions or military repercussions.

When the US does it, it's to secure the national interest and the UN and international law do not have a say in the matter.

Yes, totally right. Not that I want to defend North Korea and madman Kim Jong Il but every single country like Pakistan which is allied with the US is allowed to possess nukes and missiles (I wouldn't be surprised if Luxemburg had nukes) but as soon as your non-conform even an ordinary tank is seen as a violation of international law.

The UN is going to do nothing.
You guys must know that. The US just wants to whine around because the DPRK is flexing.

No! Feed the people of the so called 'people's superpower' and stop investing in nukes.

You were probably being sarcastic though eh?

More hypocritical responses from the USA. Couldn't expect anything less.

The thing is, how much do we actually know about the DPRK's nuclear programme? Are they really as advanced militarily as they say they are?

Is there anything wrong in using atomic power for defence purposes? For peaceful purposes? America had more nuke power same as europe and to the extent Russia, however these reactionary states are scared of having a "red" competitor same as Iran and other countries.

In case of food, you are right, but not by aid nor by trade with the reaction; I'd prefer their juche, their self reliance in order to survive, along with cooperation with countries aligned with.

Well... If you say so about "feed the people" then why is cuba continue their special period? of having sustainable agriculture? Cuba's "special period" is like what NoKor do.

Apparently, according to a Gallup poll, a majority of Americans favor a military action in response to this rather trite and petty event. It's really ridiculous, but it shows how many people will be brainwashed by the pro-imperialist media.

North Korea is a brutal dictatorship, but it prefers to be left alone as such, rather than offensively attack. A threat to their own people, but not to others.

If anything, it is in the best interest for DPRK to continue with their nuclear research. It has been shown that once a country posses nuclear weapons, no one will mess with them. It is probably the greatest defense any country can posses.

As others have said, when a country that is not allied with the west pursues nuclear technology (weapons, fuel, etc.) they are scorned for being evil, power hungry, and dangerous. But when countries that are allies of the west do the same thing, they are hailed as progressing defense against the so-called "dangerous" countries. When will the people realize the most dangerous and ruthless country is America (and the west)?

I believe on what ur saying, It's just that remnants of McCarthyism and the red scare hysteria remains in America, the worst is that they (the US)
wanted to renew the hostilities against NoKor if possible. Remember that despite having talks between North and South Koreas, and having NoKor being recognized by other countries, the situation was and is "CEASE FIRE".

The D.P.R.K has successfully launched a satelitte into orbit. US imperialism wants to say otherwise, claiming that the D.P.R.K has failed in their endevour to lauch a satelitte into orbit. The truth of the matter is that the D.P.R.K keeps advancing on the shining path towards establishing genuine communism. US imperialism fears the D.P.R.K because the Korean people are all ready to fight until the end if anything happens. Let the Americans come to the D.P.R.K, the Koreans will kick them out just like they did with the Japanese imperialists.

Is there anything wrong in using atomic power for defence purposes?
Maybe nuclear warfare, atomic bomb, fallout, radioactivity and massive mutations?
