Is classical music objectively supererior to rap?
I think most rap is inaudible and the words are important but I suppose you can read the CD cover leaflet, but I have never bought one. I liked one of Puff Daddys, probably because the video was on MTV nearly everytime I tuned in. However, I believe if I let rap grow on me I would probably get used to it, the same way I liked punk, but even when I liked punk(especially the Clash)I thought opera was objectively better.
For me for instance if you can compare. The Sex pistols to Vivaldi's Four Seasons. You can actual say one has beauty. But maybe I have become the boring old fart, that I used to hate.

You no longer like punk? agh! what happened? You've been brainwashed by Beathoven or something. Listen to
some Zeppelin. there's a classic for you.

Clash? god they suck ass. (no offense)

no offense taken
(I sigh with relief)
I still like punk, its just different, and on the whole, if I stick my neck out, worse than Bach or Handel. Although some of Bach is too dull and some of Handel is too chorale for me. There is this bridge I can not find. It is like they are two totally different things, both powerful
one raw, one sophisticated.

so your a classical guy huh? I hope I don't turn to the dark side when I'm in my 40's. I take it, your about 40 right? just kidding. do you like any classic rock at all though? I bet you'd like some of that if you listened to it.

I was 42 yesterday.
I like the Beatles and Queen,
James and Reggae.
however, Irish traditional and many folk styles have given birth to both rock and classical themes.

wow, you are 42?!?! i was just joking. I didn't meen to offend or show any disrespect. You are the same age as my father. Do you have any leftist children? I understand your taste in music. You have a more sophisticated taste as opposed to myself, being someone who likes only subgenres of rock. I am still a big music fan in general though. I apreciate all music with the exception of rap, which is not even music in my opinion.

I have a son who is 12. I have made my mind not to indoctrinate him. I just hope that he goes towards the left. At the age of five he watched a video of the ''yellow Submarine'', about 40 times. I dont think he likes music that does not have a cartoon that goes with it. He is addicted to computer games and hates school. He is probably the only normal person I know outside this bb.
