To all comrades;
I'm finding myself in quite a predictament. I'm 19 and researching extensively the works of Engel's and Marx's. I have learned a lot in the short time that I have been studying. I have reached the point in my studies that I would like to start some type of group within the general vicinity of where I go to college and my hometown. I have multiple problems that I'm hoping you can help me solve, or at least give me some general pointers on what to do.
First of all the hometown and county I live in is one of the most Republican areas in Michigan. It makes it even harder that everytime someone asks me my economic or political stance they instantly look at me as a radical or judge me as anti-American.
It is not even so much that I'm imposing my views upon anyone, I just wish that I could start some type of study group or club that convenes and discusses Marxism and other topics pertinent to communism/socialism.
So, I'm asking you, how should I go about trying to organize something that is looked down upon by so many, not only the general vicinity in which I reside, but the United States as a whole.
I'm not at all looking to start trouble. I just merely want others to (if they wish to) express their views, and hopefully along the way find others who wish to aid the communist party and get the word out that communism is a feasible possibility. It is completely understandable to accept all who do not wish to take our views as their own and who just want to broaden their horizons.
I do go to a college who I can probably get a decent amount of people that would take to idea. I'm just wondering how I should go about it and if there are any precautions or prerequsites I need to factor in before going about this.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
