I'm Lighthouse Keeper.
I'm a twenty-one year old student living in philly and, in the past few years (Since graduating high-school), I've found myself gravitating further and further to the left. I come from a lower-middle-class working family and would define myself as a Christian Democratic Socialist (Though I'm willing to be swayed to something more radical if one can manage to do so). A note on the christian title (as I've met many an anarchist who are both atheist, and militantly against religion):
The Christian title may seem weird to some. For me, it comes from a political awakening through my faith as there are many verses in the bible which preach for fair labor, in favor of the lower classes and against a ruling upper class composed of the rich. Furthermore, I'm in no way evangelical (I seek to convert no one) and I'm not against any social scenarios (being not so straight myself).

I guess another thing that'd be helpful to point out is that I've been making my way through the various American socialist/communist parties, trying to find both the right one for me, and the most proactive one in my area. If anyone lives close to me, feel free to make a recommendation.

I'm also heavily invested in the arts, especially avant-garde composition (or avant-garde classical).

I'm afraid of cars, the ocean, the draft (I'm a bit of a pacifist), bears and needles.
And I look forward to perhaps making some ties locally (as well as globally).

I look forward to talking to many new people!
In solidarity,
The Lighthouse Keeper.

Welcome. :)

One word of advice: try not to preach here. It could result in a ban or restriction.

I would never!
Don't worry.
Here's the most preaching I'll do: I firmly believe it's counter productive to ever preach. It turns people off to the idea. Spiritually/Religiously, people should be able to find their own way to whatever best suits them. I am never in any position to tell people otherwise.

There!
Haha and hello.

Seriously, this is the most sensible thing I have heard from a religious person in years. I hope you get pope one day. ;)
Welcome to the forum! :)
