Recently some french factory workers, including Sony workers, have not only occupied their factories, but have occupied them ... with the bosses held hostage, to fight layoffs and cutting of pensions and the such (while the bosses don't take a scratch).
I personally think this is a great form of industrial action, and although it could be dangerous, can also be very effective. The workers can't go back to their luxury houses, so niether can the boss, till a deal is mett.
I hope that more workers will realize direct action is much better to begging, be it begging the boss or the state, its much better to take what belongs to you, and if that includes keeping the boss until he gives what you deserve then so be it.
So Go French Workers! Solidarity.

It seams to me, that the french are a lot more class conscious than most of the west, the workers know who they are, and they know who the bosses are, they realize how to get what they want as a class.
To me, this is what socialism is all about, its not electing some chaves to office, its not the communist party of whatever staging a coup, its workers taking action, taking control of their own destiny, rather than begging the ruling class. THIS is socialism in action.
