Hi! I'm new here (obviously).
I live in Florida, and there are absolutely NO leftists here. None. Only three people at my school know what anarchism is (me, a teacher, and one other student). It's really sad.
I consider myself an anarchist, but I'm not sure what type. I'm leaning toward anarcho-communism or anarcho-syndicalism.
I guess I've been a leftist all my life, but I didn't know it until I found my dad's copy of Tubthumper and actually bothered to do some research. Now, I'm a weird middle school student with "this machine kills fascists" written on her backpack whose student council posters got taken down because they had anarchy signs on them. (I offered to replace the offending symbols with hammers and sickles. That didn't go over too well.)
I can't wait to go explore the site. Hooray for the internet!

Hi there :)

Don't be too sad about not seeing other activists at first glance. They're there, but are sometimes a bit hard to spot... Anyway, don't let that put you down!

Welcome! Revolutionary consciousness is very hard to find in school settings (let alone try to create it). I'm actually surprised you found that many people who understand anarchism in a middle school! But hey, adding to Q said, just because others arn't running around citing revolutionary texts and flaging you down with circle-a's and hammer/sickles, doesn't mean they don't have revolutionary thoughts (or the potential to).
