Just in this morning is News claim that Home Secretary Jacqui Smith ordered Adult Movies which were in turn paid off for by taxpayers money. The row centres on a £67 bill for television services claimed under her Commons expenses last June. To put it in a Nutshell, Smiths Husband ordered two Pay-per-view Porn movies on Sky digital television. She is apparently "furious" with her husband. I decided to start a topic on this for sheer hilarity. :D

Ha. She says here that it was mistakenly:

So why is she going back on what she previously said?

The most useful thing that the conservatists have spent tax-payers money on. And this does not mean that porn is useful.

Its only 70 pounds. How are people in an uproar about that when the UK government blows millions on Iraq/Afghanistan (not to mention so many other dubious programs)?

This reminds me of Mr Tauss from the SPD who's job was to fight child porn until the police discovered some weeks ago that he himself hid child porn in his apartment.

This is just a sex scandal. These people fleece the tax payer for fucking hundreds of thousands in accomodation scams, transport fees, flying off to get wined and dined by foriegn businessmen lobbying them etc. but the rags have their blinkers on to all of this. But as soon as boobies and peepees are mentioned they're all over them. I'm just amazed that anyone pays for pornography nowadays.

this, and by all accounts it was an honest mistake, she didn't realise the bill included £70 of porn cus her husband didn't tell her he'd watched it

sex scandels piss me off, let politicians have all the porn, rent boys and kinky sex they want, all I care about is how they run the country

When you look at the millions they're ripping off the working class every day and then a few porn movies get politicians in the height of crap. Thats what I find hillarious. This will hurt her more than most scandals.

this only came to light because of the double expenses issue. she is the home secreaatry - responsible for forcibly removing asylum seekers and criminalising and detaining them - bit of payback here..

Yeah, 70 pounds that could have fed and clothed a disadvantaged family that week rather than allowing an MP to fap over something.

I think that's the point. I think its deliciously ironic in that it says what we've known all along, they're a bunch of wankers.

It's not about how much money it was, it's just the fact that this was covered under her MP's allowance, the funds she receives for "official parliamentary business".

The point is MPs receive a salary of £60,000+ and then have the insanity to demand £130,000 average annually in allowances.

Well all know how corrupt and greedy UK MPs are, frankly this just about proves it.
