Hi there
As part of me and Faceless' surveying in Leeds city centre this afternoon, we came across a worker for a local council who may be getting screwed over with his wages. Are UNISON reliable?

as long as you tow the unison line.
they are pretty good at defending members rights against the employer in the workplace as long as it doesn't interfere with their allegiance to new labour.
if you are an "activist" with affiliations to "rev left" or actually interested in challenging unisons love of new labour, then you are up shit creek without a paddle.
IMO, i quickly add that as i don't know how many apologists for new labour and unisons central commitee are watching.
hang on! i left unison when they expelled my branch secretary, he sued them, they got found guilty and then accused him of a different "crime"!
he was a long term member of the swp!
a "revolutionary party", i have long had problems with and criticised, to the point of being called a "sectarian"!
confused?
yep!

Be sure to "opt-out of the political fund" of Unison if you don't want your wages going to New Labour.

Aye indeed . Though theirs a campaign which is gathering plenty of moss on trying to get unison to cut ties with labour . So hopefully that'll change soon enough .
