I pronounce you Chuck and Larry - delves into the discrimination that gay people face.
Zohan - shows how imperialists get people to fight each other.
Click - attack on corporate culture.
Mr. Deeds - explores why we don't do the things we love (thanks to capitalism, greed etc.)
And so forth.
It seems like most of his movies have some good, progressive themes.

I thought Billy Madison was hilarious, in a sort of shut-your-brain-off-and-laugh-at-sandler-acting-like-a-twit-for-over-an-hour kind of way.
But really, Chuck and Larry is the only movie I would call progressive in any meaningful way. Other than that, he ain't too progressive. In fact, Zohan drastically oversimplified the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. One of the characters even brought up the lie that they had been fighting for over 2000 years. That, and it was just too ridiculous of a movie, even by Sandler standards.

As a person Adam Sandler is a conservative, has contributed to conservative political candidates and supported the war in Iraq. I wouldn't call him progressive.

list of shitty movies
All Adam Sandler movies are superficial, immature, lowest-denominator depictions of "humour." How such a medium can be used to promote "progressive" themes is beyond me.
And the ending to Click is possibly the most cliche and horrible ending I've ever seen in my life.

Well what do you expect from a movie about a magical tv remote...
What an awfully quaint notion you are presenting here, the fact that the "topics" in his movies have been covered many time by many other people probably points towards the fact that he isn't progressive in any way, shape or form.
