Can anyone recomend a free online file hosting service.

I am wanting to upload a selection of texts pictures and films (non copyright) for easy distribution.

I have tried a couple in the past but found them alkward to use and one just dissapeared overnight.

I don't need any fancy features. Just looking for somthing easy to upload to, a fixed URL to individual resources and easy non intrusive access for downloaders.

ive found mediafire.com to be good. Ive had stuff up there for months and theyre still up. Just make sure you register an account with them, I think they'll probably last longer that way, but its still totally free.

Thanks.

I am trying File Factory. Looking good so far.
Some others I tried previously wanted to scan for files and create albums and such. Then to have them dissapear after taking time to arrange in folders was very anoying.

I suppose that, if it's non copyright and not personal content, you can use archive.org.

Does anyone know a filehost that:

1. Will allow anyone to download my files (i.e. share them to the world)
2. Has a storage limit larger than 10 MB.
3. Will not require me to reshare my files every few weeks (like ADrive does)
4. Is free?

Anyone? Point 3 has become very annoying for me.

filebeam.com (my personal favorite)
for larger than 100mb files I use;
megaupload.com

Personally I use the free web space I get from my ISP and edit a simple index.html to list and link to the actual files. That way I don't have to sign up to anything new. If you expect a lot of people to be downloading you may want to consider using something like bittorrent.

If you're wanting to go distribute movies, I'd suggest googlevideo or as Klepto suggested a torrent. OneBigTorrent.org (http://www.onebigtorrent.org/) is a good place for left audio and video torrents.

Mediafire is the best sight for uploading files under a 100mb(links last for pretty much ever)

Bigger files try megaupload
