View Full Version : My fellow comrades!

Comradeship

Greetings from Canada, comrades! As my name and the way I greet you all suggest: I am a communist... And not the kind that kills people to implement my almost-Utopian system! In my opinion Anarchy is the best, but I don't have much faith in its longevity.
So I remain a comrade, a Marxist, or as I call it: oppression fighter; because if crime-fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, then I fight oppression!
And freedom-fighters must fight...?

I was introduced into the world of Marxism when my sister started learning about Marx and Engels in her university. I slowly came to see that communism is NOTHING like the USSR, but a much more Utopian system.

My theory on why communist nations seem to be doing so badly (you speak against Chinese gov't in China and you disappear is one rumor I heard) is that they are actually fascists/capitalists (not much of a difference) disguising themselves as a much better system so that they could run the country in their corrupt ways...

Stalin betrayed communism and hid behind it his fascist state...
Bush betrayed democracy (a good system, that can co-exist with Marxism) and hid behind it his 'crazysm'...

Unlike some people I have spoken to, I have faith in Utopia and am hoping for a better world before my life ends...

Welcome :) Most communists are not utopians. Utopian socialism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopian_socialism) was a 19th century movement which pretty much died out after Marx.

Also: fascism is just authoritarianism. The USSR was not Fascist.

In any case, welcome to Revleft! :)
