Renaud - Leftist?

I don't know is there anybody from France or just some people who would be interested by French music. But I've been listening to many songs of Renaud (a French artist) and sometimes he seems to be very leftist. Does anybody know has he expressed his socialist wiews also in press?

I'm a fan of Renaud as well, I think he has expressed his views in press (at least in a documentary, shown in France 3 last december)
