Dead Prez is an amazing band, they have very strong political messages in their album. I strongly recommend everybody to download their album "lets get free" or to download anything you can from them. They remind me somewhat of NWA or Public Enemy. What they talk about in songs is:
2)Im an African- this song is about how africans are not americans, and they should be proud of themselves.
3)'They' Schools-this song is about the lies told in our school system. It also mentions the praise of the europeans and the looking down on the africans.
4)Hip Hop- This is about how the hip hop and rap industry is based on cash and exploitation, just look at "bling bling"
5)Police State- the way the police run people, and the FBI doesnt let people have privacy.
6)Behind Enemy Lines- the prison system; the song is a lot about (now free) political prisoner Fred Hampton Jr.
9)We Want Freedom- one of my personal favorites on the CD, about guerilla warfare. It also talks about the military formation, peoples army, and revolution.
10)Be Healthy-pro vegan/health song:)
12)Psychology- your mind is your greatest weapon, seize the time! now is the time!
44)Propaganda- National news is propagandha that brainwashes the people to believe what they say
