When I'm stoned I like the bass-heavy stuff, like Led Zeppelin with the bass way up.

And in case there are any kids on this board, you should never, ever use acid. That being said, the two times I've tripped on acid, one was at a party with Rolling Stones, Doorsy stuff playing and there wasn't a single person in the room I wouldn't have made love to. :cheesy: The other time, I was with an "artist" (why does everyone always get high with "artists"?) and there was the stoned-record-selector from central casting with us, who chose Jimi. Go ahead, smile as if you didn't see it coming.

If you're going to a show, getting stoned is fail-proof unless you're going to a punk show, because those depress the living shit out of me no matter what I do and would therefore be a waste of any happy pills or happy substances.

Any of you guys heard of a classical composer called Steve Reich?? He writes some fucked up music that sounds incredible when you're mashed. Check out Violin Phase, it's so hypnotic!! Apart from that Radiohead, Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Tool all sound wicked when you're mashed. Makes a change from my normal daily diet of rock/metal.

I don't personally smoke anything...except the odd Cuban cigar...actually, when my stoner friends smoke their peace pipes, I often join them with a cigar. We listen to:

Radiohead are one of my fave bands, they are so good, the way that the are original and change styles every album.

When I used to get stoned I would read books and listen to placebo, for some reason I could really imagine myself in the books and it was a mad experiance.

Get high and watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It's a freaky movie so it's great to watch while you're high, it's actually about drugs (which seems great while you're on them) and if you look closely you can spot a certain revolutionary hero.

Yeah Radiohead are fucking incredible. I've been into them since OK Computer came out. Kid A is quite simply the best album ever made. I saw em live at their homecoming show @ South Park, Oxford (UK) last July. It pissed down with rain for the whole 2 1/2 hours they played but noone cared!!

that scene at the bar where all the ppl turn to dinpsaurs is so goddamn trippy ....... i got so scared ..... but started laughing my ass off ....... this movie rocks .

i also suggest u go watch magnolia while stoned ...... it made me really cry , i really cried !!

other good trippy movies : Natural born killers , Austin powers 2 , traispotting , lock stock and 2 smoking barrels , Requiem for a dream , and ofcourse any Stanley Kubrick's movie will do , like clockwork orange or eyes wide shut .

Yeah OK Computer was my favourite album of all time until Kid A came out...I dunno, I guess four years of playing OK Computer almost non-stop took its toll. Kid A seems to be so much easier to get lost in...

Good films to see stoned: I watch any Disney. Bambi's fucking insane. Serious films...yeah, Kubrick's good, I love A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket's OK but I thought Eyes Wide Shut was shit. I usually find myself watching Apocalypse Now or 8mm and getting freaked out...

I lived clockwork orange, a seriously good film, my friends hated it, but I watched it anyway, it was really good. I haven't watched it high though, but normally it was really good.

My favourite radiohead song is street spirit fade out, on the bends. Get the two earliest albums, pablo honey and the bends, those are the best ones.

We'll stick a band on the stereo and sing along, we sound pretty damn good while we're intoxicated, but my friend's roomies run scared. I have all five Radiohead albums. Pablo Honey is shit, with the exception of Creep. The Bends is very good though, but no comparison to OK Computer, which again is no comparison to Kid A.

Pablo Honey isn't shit, it's better then Kid A, I can only listen to that in certain moods, otherwise it pisses me off. There is no way that Kid A is better then Ok Computer, OKC is the best album and Amnesiac is alright, but I know what you mean when you say it's Kid B.
