If that is meant to be a serious question (it does sound woefully ignorant) then 'yes' - australia has very high quality food - inc. lots fresh produce, seafood etc. not just cuisine. There's just not a unique internationally known 'style' like the french, italians, chinese etc.

I haven't ever visited many places where food is as celebrated as here, except maybe France and India. People love talking about food, exchanging recipes and tips, and tend to be quite adventurous with food, embracing new ingredients styles of cooking.
IMO the best foodie part of Australia is North-Eastern Victoria- Milawa, Wangaratta (amost typed "Wang" but realised that it would seem weird to people who aren't from Victoria...), Myrtleford etc. You can hardly move for vineyards, cheese-factories and lovely little farms making preserves and chutneys.
Oh and the Sydney Fish Market! Oh my. I reckon it's the best place for a Sunday lunch on a sunny day.

I would say one of the things Australia's 'food culture' is defined by is how multicultural it is, (in Sydney, anyway). If, for instance, you feel like a take away some night you can pick from almost any different kind of food you could think of, and know that it's going to be high quality.
I mean, in response to "but if you look in the right places you'll find that America has great food", does one even have to 'look' for great food in Australia? It's everywhere. Yay, Australia!

My dreams are just weird. I had this one dream where i was like a business man with a group of other corporates. We went into this food research facility and they had these really long slopes in tunnels. There was like an orangey coloured BBQ sauce running down the slope and it had rat meat in. I think they were gonna sell it as a product. I bent over and suck up a load of sauce off the slope (it was tickling down the slope like a stream) and also a peice of rat meat. It was chewy and vile.
Weird.

The highly scientific conclusion of this thoroughly scientific test is that trot papers are boring as hell and this knowledge is etched in our DNA so we instinctively avoid them. I am also now very admiring of paper sellers: they have great talent, being able to persuade people to part with actual money for the papers.

Haha, that's true.
I voted for "Die Linke" in the last election in Bavaria, since there were no other parties which were at least a little bit leftist. And (thanks to me ;)) the ruling CSU (conservatives with a strong leaning towards Bavarian nationalism, even worse than the CDU, Merkels party) lost its absoulte majority of 61% and fell to 43%.
Now they have to rule toghether with the FDP (free market liberals) so we now have a capitalistic-conservative nationalist government and "Die Linke" faild with 4.3% because of the 5% barrier. So not much has changed. :(

Well, I'm not strictly an "anarchist", I'm not strictly a Left Communist, but I am certainly a Marxist, and certainly a Revolutionary. The actual insides of what JR assumes in that group, in the proclamation of love for Kautsky, is not what I picked it for. Though, I can see why that would be confusing.

I appreciate the sarcastic tone, and also the presumption that once you agree with anarchist theories, you are trapped in them, that you can no longer learn anything, that ideas you once held can't be contradicted and new ones take hold.
If that weren't the case, I'd be worried.
Furthermore, the understandings and ideas of state power need to be substantiated by an explanation of their existence, and how they came to be.
Though, as of yet, I haven't actually seen that from an anarchist theorist (though there are probably ones exist).
But I can't really be bothered with this, as there isn't any real desire to know what I think on this, as there are surely presumed answers. The tone indicates that clearly enough.

I still don't understand why you would you choose this tendency simply for its name when politically you are probably much closer to the anarchist or leftcommunist groups. I wasn't being sarcastic.
and also the presumption that once you agree with anarchist theories, you are trapped in them
It's not a 'trap'. Once you understand revolutionary politics enough to call yourself an anarcho-syndicalist or anarchist communist (and to know what these terms mean) it just seems odd that then you would so dramatically reverse your opinions. I just assumed that you were fairly educated and convinced of anarchist ideas - enough that you would not essentially flip your views on the head and adopt an antagonistic position. You called this 'learning' - the presumption being that as a committed anarchist i obviously have not learnt enough to be yet abandon anarchism! I don't think someone changing their opinions is necessarily 'learning'.
Furthermore, the understandings and ideas of state power need to be substantiated by an explanation of their existence, and how they came to be.
I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here, to oppose hiearchal organisation or domination needs to be substantiated? That's one of the main focuses of anarchist theory.
Though, as of yet, I haven't actually seen that from an anarchist theorist (though there are probably ones exist).

People reconsider, look at things from other perspectives and consider alternate views. I'd certainly call thinking about, developing one's own politics, gaining new insight from your own contemplation to be 'learning'.

Are you a statist or an anti-statist marxist?
What constitutes a state? Do Workers Councils constitute a proletarian state? The question is meaningless.
Do I support bourgeois states? No. Do I support bureaucratic, state capitalist states a la the USSR? No. Do I support genuine instruments of proletarian power, of which are means of the suppression of the bourgeois class, and in turn, the suppression of class itself? Yes, there are few revolutionaries who don't.
I still don't understand why you would you choose this tendency simply for its name when politically you are probably much closer to the anarchist or leftcommunist groups. Yes you are a 'revolutionary marxists' - most marxists are, but that group is not for 'revolutionary marxists' (a bit of a tautology) but people who have whatever JR's politics happen to be.
Simply because I'm not an "anarchist" nor I am a "Left communist" though I'm sympathetic to the latter and to elements of the former, but either would be too restricting. I think its a given Jacob Richters politics are not ones I support, and I don't like the idea that 'revolutionary marxist' implies a support for JR. Though, as I said, i can understand why it would be seen that way.
I wasn't talking about groups on this site, i meant in general - why you wouldn't identify as a libertarian marxist (as most marxists with anarchist influence or sympathies do) or even a libertarian communist as a opposed to a 'revolutionary marxist'.
It was simply a choice of tendencies, and the one I saw closest.
It's not a 'trap'. Once you understand revolutionary politics enough to call yourself an anarcho-syndicalist or anarchist communist (and to know what these terms mean) it just seems odd that then you would so dramatically reverse your opinions.
What do you mean reverse my opinions? I haven't become all of a sudden a Capitalist or a Trotskyist, or whatever. Are you under the impression that I support the USSR or something?
I just assumed that you were fairly educated and convinced of anarchist ideas - enough that you would not essentially flip your views on the head and adopt an antagonistic position.
Antagonistic? What, because I recognize that Workers Councils constitute a form of the prolertarian state? That's not a really a big jump, it's more of a recognition of what it is.
You called this 'learning' - the presumption being that as a committed anarchist i obviously have not learnt enough to be yet abandon anarchism! I don't think someone changing their opinions is necessarily 'learning'.
That's not the presumption. The fact that my politics have gone in a different direction doesn't necessitate someone else not learning, but that they learn something and understand something differently.
I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here, to oppose hiearchal organisation or domination needs to be substantiated? That's one of the main focuses of anarchist theory.
To understand why it is the way it is needs to be, hence to actually rid society of it. You might know something is there, but if you don't know why, you can't know how to get rid of it.
You haven't seen an anarchist theorist explain a critique of hierarchy or the state?
No, I haven't seen one explain the origin of it.

You fail at simple logic. And humour.
There are lots of web comics that are funny, and that don't suck. Just because they are heaps that aren't funny, and that do suck, doesn't detract from that.
Oh, and I bet you think all comics in newspapers suck because Garfield is sometimes really shit, and there are other always shit comics.
Oh, and :
That sucks.
Whatever. I still think they suck.

My point was that they didn't have safety pins in the first century. And if all the renaissance artists are to be believed, nappies either. And it takes a real stretch of the imagination for him to be northern European. The Holy ghost must be Swedish or something.

Don't have anything to do with her group. Enjoy her company and, if she wants, screw like bunnies (be sure to use contraception).
Oh, and make sure to explain to her that you aren't going along to chant and walk in circle events, or to film showings, or any other little thing that her group might be doing. You are only interested in her, not her bunch of cultish wierdo friends.

For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals
Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination
We learned to talk
There's a silence surrounding me
I can't seem to think straight
I'll sit in the corner
No one can bother me
I think I should speak now
I can't seem to speak now
My words won't come out right
I feel like I'm drowning
I'm feeling weak now
But I can't show my weakness
I sometimes wonder
Where do we go from here
It doesn't have to be like this
All we need to do is make sure we keep talking
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
Where do we go from here
It doesn't have to be like this
All we need to do is make sure we keep talking
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling
I feel like I'm drowning
You know I can't breathe now
We're going nowhere
We're going nowhere

Well, I'm not strictly an "anarchist", I'm not strictly a Left Communist, but I am certainly a Marxist, and certainly a Revolutionary. The actual insides of what JR assumes in that group, in the proclamation of love for Kautsky, is not what I picked it for. It was simply the obvious connection between Revolutionary politics and Marxism, not the Kautsky shite.
Though, I can see why that would be confusing.
To be fair, the forum is NOT only for folks sharing my views. Per the group FAQ (which I can't seem to find), other tendencies are very much included, such as Luxemburgists, DeLeonists, etc.

I cant believe I paid 80 euros for Dream theater concert. I was in extacy before the gig, since Symphony X was there too. But then it was revealed that Symphony X only played four songs, all mediocre stuff from "paradise lost", and DT itself mostly played slow ballads with few exceptions.
