It's amusing enough if you're not familiar with Soviet humor, or that from other Eastern Bloc countries, but if you've heard the jokes before, then not so much. It would probably just be easier to read them (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_political_jokes has an extensive collection)

Er..Be honest, was this show actually broadcast on BBC2 last night? I mean the jokes are funny, but surely, there is better stuff to show. Its funny how a public TV station puts up a program that takes the piss out of system that advocates public services at its core. Its like their charging us £130 a year, and telling us that there no fucking hope, so pay us for nothing other than to rub it in. No wonder people complain about the licence fee. Fuck em.
