I see the Financial Times like the Wall Street Journal - hardly a publication willing to question capitalism, and I usually take their articles with a grain of salt - but here's a nice quote from it.

Our world is broken and I honestly dont know what is going to replace it. The compass by which we steered as Americans has gone, says Bernie Sucher, head of Merrill Lynchs Moscow operations. The last time I ever saw anything like this, in terms of the sense of disorientation and loss, was among my friends [in Russia] when the Soviet Union broke up.

...it seems he isn't an avid reader of revleft - then again, I wouldn't expect "disoriented" life-long geocentrists to be going to meetings with Galileo to ask for direction.
