FemCon is a pro-feminist/Marxist festival i put on every year in Lansing, Michigan with the help of some of my comrades. It is a benefit show for groups that will help to improve the lies of women and children. This year the event will take place at Basement 414 in Lansing and the proceeds are going to help women in Iraq learn how to read and write. If anyone knows of a good group to give the money to, please let me know. So far i have found one group that does this. The group is called USAID, although they do much more than just teach women and children to read and write. I don't want to help fund the war, and from what I have learned about USAID a lot of the money they receive does in fact go to food and supplies to American soldiers in Iraq. i am also looking for bands still. Artists are welcome to bring art to be shown as well. The dates for the show are September 25th and 26th. Cost is $5 at the door. Doors are 8pm. It is an all ages event. 100% of the proceeds go to the beneficiary.
