Black Sabbath were the best. They are seriously confused with Black Widow and such.... The only contacts with satanism they had was that Terry Geezer had a slight interest in the occult and ouija boards.... Also if you take time to read some of his lyrics you may notice they are very leftist..... for example 'Dreamer'

What do you guys think?

I always liked Black Sabbath very much,Iommi is admirable but Mr.Ozzy...hmmm,sucks.

My favourite Sabbath song is The Warning/Sleeping Village and The Wizard also,but I also like every record they made until 1981.You know Mob rules...rules!
As for Children of the Grave I think the lyrics were written by Geezer Butler.

This thread's a bit old but...

... Black Sabbath wasn't about anti-war... they may have reflected the times in some of their songs, but they where not part of the peace-love hippie movement... and where very much against all the "Freedom-Flowers & Beads" music of the time, and wanted to bring a more harsh darker sound to rock.

I have alot of respect for Tony Iommi and the second singer Ronnie James Dio... but Ozzy is a fool, he and his music where never quite the same after Randy Rodes died.

while paying the USA a visit I noticed that there is now a TV show called the Ousbournes on MTV....it's set in ozzys house with his wife and kids and all.

I didn't watch it longer than 10 seconds and have no idea what it was about.....but what the fuck?

I haven't watched it but a friend told me about it... he said that Ozzy lets his kids use foul language all the time, the dogs crap all over the house and he doesn't clean up after them... and basicly Ozzy can't even figure out how to use a remote control.

Unlike many here, I usually don't look for a political message at all in any music. RATM may be political, but unless I see them donating great scads of money to like minded political groups, they were just a band.

Black sabbath is great and songs like war pigs are excelent and very political.... but ozzies brain is quite fried after 20 years of drug and alcohol abuse.

I was at the Ozz fest a few years ago and Ozzman played with the orginal band members of Black Sabbath,it rocked.I don't go to Ozz fest really,but Im a big fan of Black Sabbath.I think after Ozz left Back sabbath wasn't the same.Ozzy's solo career is pretty good and they sound good too.But Ozzy sounds better with Black Sabbath.

Ozzy pissed on the Almo, Ozzy should have pissed on the White House too.
