Just checking out the rev left scene. Curious about what goes on here.
I'm an anarchist-communist with a belief that workers struggles should form the core of our revolutionary strategy. Not a syndicalist because there are no syndicates. If there were I would support dual organisational strategies. I'm a firm believer in the specific political organisation.

Please explain to me what makes the difference between a regular communist and an anarchist-communist? I'm not foreign to the term, but I have yet to meet someone who thought it worth their time to explain their beliefs. I'm genuinely interested to know, so please answer me.

The means to the end, that's the difference.
Marxists-Leninists advocate using a state as it's usually known lead by the vanguard section of the proletariat. This is their conception of a "dictatorship of the proletariat"
An anarchist-communist prefers to decentralize/localize political power, in the form of communes, neighborhood assemblies, and workers' councils, to the masses.

I will most definitely start a thread to get a larger perspective.
The discription you gave, Johnny, is very intriguing. I may have to reconsider the idea that I am a Marxist-Leninst if what you say is true.
