So, which shows do you regularly watch and follow?

I've seen all That 70's Show episodes and I currently follow Scrubs, Two And A Half Men, Real Time With Bill Maher, and am thinking of getting into Gundam.

Oh, yeah, also, is The Wire any good?

for my sins i ,must admit im a bit of a lost fan because of the geeky element to the series

I used to watch Friends, X Files and Will & Grace when they were on. I quite like Scrubs and House isn't too bad if there isn't anything else on. I have to admit to watching 24 but I got into that when it started, before I became a leftist. I have watched Family Guy and the Simpsons as well. I tend to prefer watching programems on DVD or via the Internet rather than on television.

I have a dark secret to confess, I write fanfiction:blushing:. If you want to read it, my stuff is at http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1749771/skycloud86

I have only watched one show from start to almost the end and thats Prison break, the last episode of season 4 left, but i do not want to watch it since i am waiting for the new ones to come.
Others shows that i enjoy watch occasionally, CSI(Especially Miami and NY), Heroes, Supernatural and there was another one with a family that i do not remember now.

Motd = Match of the Day, the English football highlights (like Studio Sport here). Also LZ, you should watch Gundam, although it depends which series you want to see. If you're unsure, this page (http://mahq.net/animation/gundam/gundam.htm) may help in seeing the forest through the trees, as we say.

I watch:

-The Simpsons
-Family Guy
-South Park
-Studio Sport (sports program, most prominently showing the football highlights of the Netherlands)
-Voetbal International (a football talk show)
-Match of the Day
-Code Geass (just downloaded it today, haven't seen anime in ages, so I figured it was about time, and this one was recommended on RevLeft several times)

That 70's Show
Scrubs
Two And A Half Men

Dear god those are some terrible shows. :p

I don't follow anything, but I will sit still for:
Arrested Development
Seinfeld
Futurama
MXC
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The Office (either version)
Desperate Housewives (hahaha yeah...ok the truth is I've only seen one episode)
old South Park

I have a feeling that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is good but I have yet to see one all the way through. Mostly I just hate TV.

There is very little on TV worth watching. The Wire is suppose to be great though from what I have read. I don't have a TV but I will occasional watch the Daily Show on the internet.

Actually, the only reason one would need cable is to watch sports.

Pirate Utopian

Mostly these Dutch sketch/comedy shows and some American shows that arent too cheesy.

Draadstaal, Koefnoen, (sadly no longer existent) De Lama's.
The Simpsons, every now and then My Name Is Earl.

I have seen every episode of South Park and I cant really watch the re-runs for the 640th time again.

I also follow some foreign shows trough internet like The Boondocks and Penn & Teller: Bullshit!

I also saw every episode of this old copshow called Sledge Hammer! wich is fucking awesome!

Torchwood is a more gay, less entertaining Doctor Who.

I can't believe no one's mentioned the Sopranos.

The Wire is very good. Highly recommended. Someone mentioned Larry David's show Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is hilarious at times. Another comedy is Peep Show, which is a work of comedic genius.

Well, some of us actually like the queerness in Torchwood. Sure, it's not as well written as Doctor Who, but it's still good fun.

So yeah, I download lots of TV shows (just trawled my way through all of Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis) but I regularly watch Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Simpsons (although less so lately) and random Australian doco-real-life stuff like Insight, Gardening Australia (in the Peter Cundall days) and the Cook and the Chef on TV.

Oh, and don't tell anyone, but I LOVE the Antiques Roadshow. :blushing:

I don't know if I should support Torchwood because of it's pro-gay qualities or oppose it for the fact it has set gay actors centuries back in terms of acting quality. :blushing:

Yeah i love me some Curb too.

In terms of shows that are still running (besides the above), i download:

Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad (just started, and it seems much more intelligent and even progressive compared to FamGuy), Heroes, Dexter, Doctor Who, Torchwood (yes it's crap, but the cast is hot) and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (waaaaay better than it deserves to be).

And my guilty pleasure? Lost! So silly and contrived, but i can't help but watch - it's like a car-wreck.

tv bores me for the most part. As long as i have my PS3 and broadband access i am entertained.

I used to enjoy political comedy like Rory bremner but he's seldomly on these days. I wish spitting image would return.

I do keep an avid eye on the news of course.

The only show that's on now that I watch is LOST. When I feel like it I also watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, sometimes Dexter and Flight of the Conchords when I'm in a place that receives their respective channels.

As for others that have since gone to the great television in the sky... Arrested Development, The Wire, Firefly, Futurama, Extras, Blackadder, Six Feet Under.

I used to watch Scrubs before their writers' talent shipped out two seasons ago. And sometimes out of boredom I would watch the various Law & Order shows, but politics and The Wire up and killed any dumb rush I could get out of that.

Jericho, Skins, Kitchen Confidential, Californication, Lost, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Dexter, Daria, Freaks and Geeks.

Yeah i used to watch Californication - it was good for a while, then out of the blue Mulder started dropping 'faggot' in what seemed like every episode. Meh.

What's Skins and It's Always Sunny in Philly about?

butterfly
13th March 2009, 07:07
Skins is about a bunch of hormone-driven teenagers and their escapades. I like house, boston legal and all the 'politically incorrect' cartoons.

Angry Young Man
14th March 2009, 02:23
Skins is k, but Shameless is ace. Also good is Ideal - Johnny Vegas plays a grass dealer. There's a guy called Psycho Paul with an affection for his screwdriver who heads a gang. One action was to take out another member's eye and has it preserved. There's another one, CH, is defined by the cartoon mouse superglued to his face.

D'ya want me get me screwdriver?

I don't have a TV, so most of what I see is from DVD. I like the American Office, the Shield, King of the Hill, the Sopranos and Futurama. Somebody mentioned Man v. Wild. I personally prefer Survivorman, because the poor guy is out on his own. Plus there is nothing that beats the schaudenfreud when I am curling up in bed with a warm cup of hot chocolate watching that guy ***** about how miserable he is in the middle of nowhere, canada or some other place uninhabited for a reason.

Locally, there is this quiz show that merges itself with a documentary that I've watched religiously since I was a kid. It's a clever concept, and it's a lot of fun to watch. I try to catch it whenever I go to my grandparents house on the weekends.

Just finished the first season. Amazing stuff. I'm surprised that I managed to watch all of it in such a short time, I normally prefer delayed gratification. But this series is like a book that you can't put down. The plot just keeps thickening, with more twists and betrayals. Now that's what great things are made of. Now, it's time to get the second season fast!

I gotta confess that I never really got spongebob. I read a review about it when it first came out that was just raving, thought "this is pretty neat" and watched it and thought it sucked. I don't think south park is funny, but it is actually quite well written.

Spongebob, tho, doesn't strike me as anything special. It might be better than most of the cartoons out there. What intrigues you so much about it?
