i hear people talk about how great they are all around me...but everytime i try to listen to it i just find the music extremly boring.

I love Tool. They are the greatest band ever apart from Rage. Lateralus is a work of Genius. A perfect circle are good too.

Tool are infuckincredible. Absolutely amazing. "Ambient toss" indeed Zippy?? Your only possible excuse is that you wrote that in December, so since then i hope you have matured significantly enough to realise their true brilliance...

Excellent fucking band. I own all their albums except Lateralus. I do agree though that sometimes some of their stuff may be long and boring (depending on what mood your in). In any case the longer and slower songs are PERFECT bud-smoking songs (listen to "Third Eye" and youl know what Im talking about).
