this is a new horrorfilm about the ghost of a baby that dies in the womb and comes back to haunt it's twin.

Do you think this is the first horror film that could have right wing (pro-life) connotations?

Right-wing connotations? I haven't seen the movie, but I remember hearing that baby just died of natural causes.

I haven't actually seen the film, but that could be an interesting interpretation of it. I just wanted to see it because it looked slightly interesting.

Well it's definitely the worst film i've had the displeasure of watching this year.

My point is they're implying that unborn babies have 'vengeful souls' therefore they shouldn't be 'killed'.

Wait, does the twin suffocate it in the womb or something?

My favorite film involving a baby and pregnancy is a French Horror film called A L'Interieur ("Inside").

If you watch it you'll never look at scissors the same way again...:scared:

Well, I couldn't remember how the baby died either so I did some research. It turns out that the spirit was of "Jumby" was a dybbuk, which is basically a kind of poltergeist spirit in the Jewish culture. I thought that was interesting.
It also turns out that the plot of the movie has nothing to do with the fact that the baby died. The spirit merely wants to inhabit the body of someone within Casey's, the protagonist's, family ever since it attempted to inhabit the body of her grandmother's biological twin. Supposedly it is based off of the idea of a dybbuk in modern times, but you can tell that hollywood twisted the idea into something beyond real analytical understanding in order to make it into a money-maker.
I'm no sure why they emphasized the factor of twins or that Jumby tried and failed to inhabit the body of Casey's unborn twin. Supposedly those things are not factors in the haunting tales of dybbuks, which they express many times that "Jumby" is based off of. In conclusion, I'm not sure that it could have been a "Pro-Life" message, but since they unnecessarily went out of their way to insinuate that the premature death of the baby may have been a cause of the haunting, I would not disregard the possibility of your notion that there may be underlying conservative influences in the movie's supposed message.
