Did you know that the hip-hopper named Dr.DRe recorded a song entitled "Kill Bin Landen"?Isn't that so much part of the american dream?Well I think that the US conservatives(and I'm talkin for those who vote the US parties)should think very seriously about voting him as the 44th president of the"land of the free"!After all he ain't much different than Bush.Same shit, different smell..Anybody interested to write a song called"Kill Dr.Dre?".
Dr.Dre is one of the many "Bin Landens"living in this world.Isolate them!!

well since we didnt create or write the song it's hard to say what is being implied. i understand the concept your trying to depict but im begining to think rapp music is coming from a different angle, but then again hoo knos?? just like "jackyl" came out with "i hate you, bin laden" i tried to percept that from another dimension but, yeah this could go deep or superficial, it would be cool if the artists could comment on the song itself but then again they dont need to explain a darn thing. just dont buy the music i guess.

Isn't it strange what money does to ya? At the start of his career Dr Dre and the NWA were real Revolutionaries, now he is just basically part of his originial "class war". Many of his songs now are just simply boasting of hhis feats and money.
I saw an amusing news report a few months ago...
Dr Dre who with NWA made the revolutionary "Fuck the Police" song asked the police for big protection or something. I wonder if he hates them so much now?

I heard that hip-hop has been gaining popularity in a big way in Cuba. Most of the Cuban stars are really revolutionary in the sort of way you claim the NWA to have been.

considering we're talking about hip-hop and rap, i think i'll make passing comment at possibly the most destructive form of music ever
gangsta-rap
this sort of music idolizes teh capitalist criminal mind, especially pimps, but the reason it is able to exist is because of the assassination of african-american role models like MLK and Malcolm X. Some of the primary rolemodels of teh black youth of today are criminals and pimps and people who sing about criminals and pimps.
And for girls, it's those sluts, Destiny's Child. I often wonder where they come up with that fucking name. Does anyone know? Rumour has it that they had to get their lighting crew to lower the lights cause one of their faces was melting, can anyone confirm that rumour as well?

OK, I'll admit that gangsta rap is disgusting. But I don't think that "some of the primary role models of the black youth of today are criminals and pimps and people who sing about criminals and pimps." That seems to be a generalization. I honestly don't know ANYONE who looks up to criminals or those idiotic rappers who rap about *****es, hoes, pimping, drugs, murder, etc. and just about 80-90% of the people I know listen to rap. And keep in mind that a large amount of White youth (in America & otherwise) do also like and listen to rap music (since it seems as if Black culture and all of its aspects are becoming "popular" ) so if you want to say that some Black youth glorify people who partake in or rap about crime (as a direct result of the "gangsta rap" music, it seems), then you should also say that some White youth do as well. And, if you were implying that Malcolm X was one of the better role models of previous times (were you or were you not? I don't know), remember that pre-hadj, he was quite ethnocentric, he was not an advocate of peace towards Whites, & he cosidered non-violence to be a fool's philosophy and, as far as I and many others are concerned, violence definitely was & is a crime itself (BUT! I'm not saying that Malcolm was a bad guy or anything. I admire him in many ways still).
But yeah, anyway, rap and hip-hop used to be decent. The 80s were pretty damn good, but I don't know what happened in the 90s. At least there are still a few hip-hoppers with some decency and who don't necessarily seek fame, fortune, glamour, and only want their messages to be heard, i.e. Common, Mos Def, The Roots, Talib Kweli, A Tribe Called Quest, and (haha) The Coup.

Dr. Dre is not what he used to be when he was in NWA. He whent frompumping hardcore rap to recruiting TEENYBOPPERS like Eminem. I only hope Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg dont sell out as well.
